I was diagnosed with brain cancer one year before Covid hit. I had just survived 6 months of surgery, chemo, and brain radiation treatment when Coronavirus started making headlines. I was going from one nightmare to another and had already lived for months in debilitating fear of getting sick because of my weakened immune system. Fortunately I was able to stay clear of Covid until it came for me on New Year's Day 2022. I had dreaded this day and braced for impact.
I quarantined and laid in bed with body aches and chills off and on for five days straight. My fever spiked to 103 at its highest, and I was panicked and felt the fear and panic like I was reliving the early days of my diagnosis.
I immediately started my wellness regimen of zinc shock therapy which is holding 2 droppers (2ml) full in my throat for one minute every 3 to 4 hours. I also diligently took vitamin D, vitamin C and drank fluids. I rested and monitored my temperature and blood oxygen levels with a pulse oximeter from Amazon.
My fever broke after one day and I began to feel much better. To be honest I thought it was just the flu because it seemed like I only had 24 hours feeling terrible and could function again. I was so worried that I would be one of the tragic stories of getting Covid and I was so thankful and grateful to know my body fought and came out the other side.
Here is my Covid TImeline:
